It seems denim is back on the agenda with design houses like YSL, Dolce & Gabbana, Manolo Blahnik, Louis Vuitton & Prada all dabbling in denim.
While some aren’t denim activists I quite enjoy the contradiction of a pair of cocktail sandals (see Manolo Blahnik denim rhinestone d’Orsay's pictured) or an evening bag (D&G Miss Martini jeweled clutch) swathed in casual denim.
A little guidance; too much denim is ghastly. Absolutely do not wear jeans, denim shoes & matching handbag – waaaay too '80’s.
Try teaming an LDB or a crisp white suit with a pair of denim sandals. If you’re going to do it, do it well.
