WEITSMAN'S OSCAR READY

When it comes to designing fabulous shoes, Stuart Weitzman tells Hollywood Reporter women always ask him the same question: “Can you make it higher?”

Thankfully, there are plenty of 6-inch, 6 ½-inch and even do-if-you-dare 7-inch platform stilettos (a gold lamé pair named “Jazziest”) in the designer’s glamorous new Red Carpet Collection.

The collection, offering over 35 different styles for celebrities and their stylists to choose from, is exclusively for the stars (you can see it on display at the designer’s Rodeo Drive boutique), but it will hit select stores starting April 1.

Soon to hit Australian shores - Christian Louboutin's Pigalle studded denim pumps.

MR PORTER & THE LOBB

From the sassy gals that bring us Net-A-Porter comes Mr Porter.

Over @ Mr Porter you can shop from an edited selection of the world's best menswear designers, such as Gucci, Ralph Lauren, Burberry and Lanvin, as well as specialist brands including John Lobb, E Tautz and Lock & Co.

Each week the online Mag will bring you editorial content and useful shopping tools such as Wish List, Recommendations, Essentials and Inventory.

But first. Let me introduce you to the Lobb shoe.

Since 1866, men including Sir Winston Churchill and Mr Alfred Hitchcock have turned to John Lobb for the finest-quality shoes and boots. The enduringly elegant double strap 'William' model, developed in 1945 and named after Mr William Lobb, is still in production today, a testament to its timeless appeal. Rumour has it that Lobb began producing monk-strap shoes in the 19th century to accommodate the wide feet of Prince Edward, who had granted Lobb a Royal Warrant to supply him with shoes.

"The double-monk shoe is probably one of the most iconic styles of shoe a man can own. Lobb were the first manufacturers to produce the style, you might say we are the kings of the double-buckle" Mr Andres Hernandez,Creation and development director, John Lobb.

Love!

RUMER BAGS A GREAT LOOK @ BADGLEY MISCHKA

So. Outside of the fact I may need to roll Rumer Willis for her shoes, (she is wearing the stunning YSL red pumps we discussed on Valentine's Day), how hot does she look?

Pictured here at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, Willis is the face of Badgley Mischka.

She told StyleList about the line, which she represents in ads: "I think their clothes are made for real women and I'm really excited to see the new collection and see what else they have going on."

What other style rules does she follow? "Wear something you feel good in because at the end of the day if you're not, it will show. Oh and wear comfortable shoes so your feet don't hurt!"

Comfortable but hot shoes Ms Willis. Love!

2011 GRAMMY SHOES

Another day, another awards ceremony. Love this time of year.

So first; the loves. Katy Perry was certainly the surprise entry running for glamour Queen, this custom made Giorgio Armani gown & platforms is surely impressive.

Bless J.LO for not disappointing us yet again, rocking those glorious Christian Louboutin spike heels - love these shoes.

Sadly, the worst-in-show must go to Willow Smith; love the kid, hate the shoes. Custom made Louis Vuitton. Anyone involved in this tragedy should hang their head in shame, these are a shocker!

The shout out was made & you responded.

I want you to show me yours. Upload a pic of your favourite shoes to the Shoe Addict Facebook page.

They don't have to be designer stilts but they have to be fabulous & they have to be yours. Give me the low-down on them & with your permission, I'll post the best on the blog.

Shitika from Queensland, Australia, "My graduation shoes. Nine West. Perfect pair to graduate in."

Love!

'TIS THE SEASON - LIST SEASON THAT IS...

Tracey Gillinder (2011 Babes Ambassador) - Read Tracey's latest column @ Babes In Business.

‘Tis the season and I’m not just talking awards season people, I’m talking lists.

You know, the beginning of the calendar year where newspapers, magazines and television programs like to compile lists of everything from ‘Oscars Best Dressed ’ to ‘The Worst of’. Most fashionable, most stylish, worst break-ups and greatest moments; just to name a few.

There is nothing like a list to spark some hot debate. At least, that’s what I like to call it. Lashings of criticism and ridicule from the masses just don’t have the same high spirited ring to them... More >>
